An adaptation of C.J. Dennis’ verse narrative of life set on the backstreets of inner Melbourne in the 1910s, The Sentimental Bloke is a tale of redemption, depicting the social rehabilitation, courtship and marriage of the titular ‘Bloke’, Bill (Arthur Tauchert) to his sweetheart, Doreen (Lottie Lyell).

Matt, Ellen and the rhythm section of ‘doom’ (Declan Kelly, Carl Dewhurst, Dave Symes and Daniel Pliner) join forces with international touring vocalist Jade Macrae to bring in your new year at Sydney’s funkiest live venue – Lazybones Lounge. This will be a special New Years night full of funk, soul, afrobeat and ethio jazz classics alongside your favourite Mister Ott dance floor fillers.
